Refund & Return Policy
This policy specifically covers purchases made on www.chateaumongiron.com. We strive to ensure your Bordeaux wines arrive in perfect condition.
1. 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with the French Consumer Code, you have a period of 14 days from the date of receipt of your order to exercise your right of withdrawal without having to justify your reasons.
Notification: You must inform us of your decision to return the wine by emailing team@chateaumongiron.com. team@chateaumongiron.com.
Condition of Products: Returns are only accepted for bottles that are unopened, with the seal/capsule intact, and in their original packaging. Due to the nature of wine, we cannot accept returns for bottles that have been opened or tampered with.
Return Shipping: The cost of return shipping is the sole responsibility of the Customer. We recommend using a carrier that provides tracking and insurance, as the Customer is responsible for the bottles until they reach our cellar.
2. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund:
Scope: The refund includes the full price of the products and the initial standard delivery charges.
Timeline: Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods.
Method: We will use the same payment method used for the initial transaction.
3. Damaged or Broken Bottles
If your order arrives damaged (e.g., broken glass, leaking bottles):
Action Required: You must record specific "reservations" on the carrier's delivery slip at the time of delivery.
Notification: Contact us at team@chateaumongiron.com within 48 hours with photos of the damage and the shipping label. team@chateaumongiron.com.
Resolution: We will send a replacement or issue a full refund for the damaged items at no additional cost to you.
4. Defective Wine (Corked Bottles)
We take great pride in our quality control. However, if a bottle is found to be "corked" (goût de bouchon):
Please keep the bottle and the original cork. The bottle must be at least 3/4 full.
Contact us to arrange a replacement or store credit. We reserve the right to request the return of the defective bottle for analysis by our technical team.
5. Exchanges
Due to the technical requirements of wine storage and transit, we do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to receive a different vintage or wine, please return your original order for a refund and place a new order on our website.
